Not one of all the Lord's good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.

Today’s message
God loves to start from where no one expects: a basket turning into refuge in the river, a virgin pregnant, a scared girl finding comfort in her grandmother's house. I look back and see: He did not waste pain, loss, or disappointment in my story. He turned hard ground into a school of faith. And He whispers the same to you: it is not the end. When the enemy cannot prevent the promise, he tries to wear you out along the way. That’s when we choose to remain until we see what God said come to pass.
I love how Joshua summarizes a lifetime: not one good word from the Lord failed; everything was fulfilled. It was not a life without struggle. It was God's faithfulness from beginning to end. Hebrews 10:23 calls us: let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. A good promise carries the character of the one who promised. If it came from God, it is good. It is up to us to believe, obey, and stay in the right place until God's amen appears in the story.
How to discern good promises
- A good promise does not separate you from your spouse, children, or the body of Christ.
- A good promise does not seduce with financial shortcuts or instant wealth.
- A good promise honors your health, your faith, and your future, without hidden strings.
- A good promise withstands counsel: godly parents and leaders confirm, they do not warn of danger.
- A good promise brings a peace that guards, not anxiety that enslaves and isolates.
Do not turn a season into a sentence.
I learned this the hard way. In crisis, I cut cards, adjusted steps, and God taught me a better way. He did not create the mess, but found me there and taught me to walk. Sometimes, the present feels like a cold season. Do not make it a prison. Wait on God without murmuring, without comparing, without wearing the victim's cloak. Waiting with hope is a daily work, heart in God and feet firmly on the ground.
Waiting with hope — attitudes of permanence
- Cling to the hope you confess, even when emotions fluctuate.
- Stay planted where God has placed you; take root and serve without the spotlight.
- Pray as a child: Daddy, take control of my life; guide my steps.
- Close doors that steal altar, family, and devotion, no matter how attractive they seem.
Romans 8:15 says that we did not receive a spirit of slavery, but of adoption. Act like a child of God. We are not beggars; we are children. Children have access, a table, and a future. Today, declare in faith: I will live to see all of God's promises fulfilled. Examine proposals, adjust routes, embrace the identity of one who belongs to the Father. Remain. When the book of your life turns the page, you will be able to say with Joshua: everything was fulfilled.

- In Romans 8:15, Paul uses the Aramaic word Abba, an intimate expression of children, to mark the confident access to the Father.
