In your pocket, the receipt for the expensive ED course you paid for. In your mind, the desire to quit. Statistics poke: 62% drop out of university; 87% drop out of the ED course. But the seed is not the problem — it's the soil. You were born to defy the negative statistics of quitting. Starting requires initiative. Continuing requires discipline. And finishing requires perseverance. If your heart feels heavy, don't bury your talent. Lift your eyes: God hasn't discarded what He has already done in you. Strengthen your hands.
Nehemiah shows us how it's done. Hands dirty with dust, wall standing, but the gates still missing. When Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem heard that the gaps had been closed, they invited him to the plain of Ono to distract and harm him. They mocked: if a fox climbs up, this wall will fall. Nehemiah took a deep breath and replied: I am doing a great work and cannot come down. He did not evaluate life by the missing gates but by what God had already built. He persevered, with planning and focus, in the face of hell's persistence.

It reminded me of the story of crossing your arms inside a self-driving car, talking until you forget the road. On the journey with God, there's no autopilot: hands on the wheel, eyes on the road. Submit to God, resist, and the devil flees. Plan like sharpening an axe, but know to ask for what only above can give. Perseverance has simple keys, but they require daily decision.

- Do not despise what you have already built in God; celebrate closed gaps before the gates.
- Value what God has placed in your hands: it's a great work, not just any task.
- Do not get distracted: filter people, feelings, and sins that divert you from the purpose.
- Be prepared for hell's persistence; say no again, and again.
- Ask God to strengthen your hands: “O God, strengthen my hands.”
When you pray like this, something aligns. Nehemiah worked, assembled a team, planned; and asked for strength. Result? In 52 days, the wall was completed, and even the enemies recognized: it was God. This is what Isaiah talks about: God allows pressure for you to see and know that His hand did the work. Today, keep this response on your lips and in your actions: firm hands on what He entrusted, eyes on the Lord. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. “O God, strengthen my hands.”
