Love the Reproof

Acceleration comes when I love instruction and do not flee from correction.

Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.

Today’s message

I opened my heart and went straight to the point: the speed of your spiritual success depends on your love for reproof. From an early age, we resist being called to accountability. It messes with the ego, hurts the emotion, and creates chaos inside. But I tell you: you cannot love wisdom and hate correction. It's like wanting to be an athlete and hating training. It's like saying you love God and rejecting prayer. Love and hate need to combine in choices. If you love knowledge, you need to love the path that sustains it: instruction and reproof.

I looked at Proverbs 12:1 and repeated it with you. Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge. And whoever hates reproof acts foolishly. Why? Because only a fool thinks they will grow without someone pointing out where they are wrong. Reproof is not humiliation; it is care. You are only called to attention by those who still consider you. God corrects us because He loves us and still has hope for our future. And the more I know, the less I err. Want to err less? Love being adjusted.

What Reproof Does in Us

  1. Protects and accelerates: it avoids unnecessary falls and shortens the learning path.
  2. Exchanges forty years of suffering for five years of purposeful correction.
  3. Reduces error, because practical instruction corrects step, rhythm, and direction.
  4. Reveals true love: those who invest in you do not flatter you, they align you.
The speed of your spiritual success will depend on your level of love for reproof.

I shared about students who flee from mentorship when confronted. They miss the target and blame the place. Don't change coaches because you didn't like the whistle. Submit yourself. Even the best need it. Those who want to win place themselves under correction. Our pride screams, but grace works in those who humble themselves. Whoever humbles themselves will be exalted. It is the way of the Kingdom.

Practical Steps to Accelerate with Wisdom

  1. Decide today to love instruction and embrace reproof without playing the victim.
  2. Surround yourself with counselors who speak the truth and point out real adjustments.
  3. Submit specific areas to a mentor: marriage, finances, spiritual life.
  4. When corrected, do not change places; change behavior.
  5. Write down the correction and practice a concrete gesture of change the same day.

I live under correction. Father, intercessors, counselors, mentors. Week after week, someone calls me to accountability. Does it hurt? Sometimes. Does it work? Always. Reproof protects and accelerates. If you decide to love this, you will see advancement ten times faster. And if God still invests in correcting you, it is because He loves you very much and has not given up on your future. Do your part. Submit yourself, adjust your step, and move forward.
